As you may or may not know the site has changed what a non-paying (Standard) member can do. Until today a Standard Member could read incoming messages and reply to them. We just could not initiate a conversation. Now we can no longer even read an incoming message.
I was paying member for a while when I first logged on, but it was not worth the price since actually meeting women is a very difficult thing to actually do. In my case the reasons were; not many women here from my area (closest city is 100 miles away). I imagine that distance was part of the reason I received very few responses to the embarrassingly high number of messages I sent just to get a few responses.
Women have contacted me since I stopped paying but now I cannot respond to a paying member who might want to talk to me – or any other standard member. This makes their decision a disservice to paying members too.
I won’t pay for this for those reasons and because of the security issues here and now this.
To anyone I may not have responded to . . . now you know why.
UPDATE: This is a bit weird and possibly sexist. I can read messages from some, but not all guys, but not any women. So women who are “Full” members cannot contact the men they may choose to.

No Love (or Awards) For Bearded Bloggers

As I read, diligently consider and vote for the Blogger Awards it has come as a complete shock, yes SHOCK, to me that there are no awards for bearded blogger of the year.
The well organized and funded (secretly of course) beard haters cartel rules the roost here. Even the bald guys get awards here. All bald guys have to do is remove a few remaining hairs and voila bald. Not much muss, very little fuss and if they get that wrong all they have to do is wear a hat . Clearly anti-beardism is rampant.
Us bearded guys, trim, sculpt, color (but I don’t judge them), and some even . . . pluck. Yes you read that right pluck. We even bleed for our cause. Then in service to the women we meet we shampoo our beards so it will be clean and soft upon your thighs . Do you really want us to go all Grizzly Adams on you? No, I thought not. But do we get any credit or recognition – obviously not.
Then, unlike many men here, we proudly display our faces for all to see.
Bearded men UNITE and rise up against hairless oppression. Say it loud, say it proud – I AM BEARDED AND I AM PROUD.

International Intrigue – The 12th Virtual Symposium

When I think of International Intrigue the first thing that comes to mind are James Bond movies. The movies are probably the most international of any series I can think of, with on location settings in: London (MI6 HQ), Jamaica, USA, Yugoslavia, England, Turkey, Italy, Mexico, Switzerland, Bahamas, France, Hong Kong and Japan. That is just in the first 5 movies.
One thing deeply imprinted in my mind from those movies are the songs. The primary, and most primal, one being the "James Bond Theme" with the ever-familiar blaring horns and guitar riff that start off the tune and the movies titles with the iconic gun shot / ‘naked’ women sequences.
Then there are the sultry and suggestive songs from the Bond movies. One of them that I love most is "Goldfinger", sung by Shirley Bassey, whose distinct voice makes the song very memorable. To date Bassey has sung the most title songs from the Bond movies with 3, the others being "Diamonds Are Forever" and "Moonraker". “Goldfinger” is from the movie that featured Honor Blackman as “Pussy Galore” – only a Bond movie could have ‘gotten away’ with that character name. I loved it and it was an inspiration (if the story/movie is accurate) for a famous and internationally intriguing con man, Frank Abagnale Jr., in the beginning his career. Equally sultry and suggestive were "Nobody Does It Better" by Carly Simon and "For Your Eyes Only" by Sheena Easton.
On TV around the same time was the spy thriller “Mission Impossible”. It consisted of story lines in fictional cold war era countries. That program was the origin of the current movie series. The intro theme was a fast paced tune with a heavy emphasis on horns. On a more personal note, during the time when the series was on the air I lived 2 houses up the block from Martin Landau and Barbara Bain who were actors in the series. Landau’s replacement in the series was Leonard Nimoy who also lived nearby. His Julie was a classmate of mine in high school, we ran in different groups.
Similarly intriguing is the Johnny Rivers classic song “Secret Agent Man”. It too is from the same era (early to mid 60s) when the Cold War was “raging” and international tensions felt higher, to some/many people, then they are now. This song has some really cool lyrics, which seem to be strangely apropos for this site: “With every move he makes another chance he takes.” and “Swingin' on the Riviera one day, then layin' in a Bombay alley next day. Oh no, you let the wrong word slip, while kissing persuasive lips. Odds are he won't live to see tomorrow.”
There are also international “intrigue” movies that are not as dramatic as Bond. The funniest one for me was "The Pink Panther” movies with the instrumental theme by Henry Mancini. This too is from around the same era as the Bond theme. It starts with, and features, a very familiar and lighthearted saxophone solo that plays almost perfectly with the intro credits of the movies. I love sax solos like the one in “Traces” by the Classis IV and “Shotgun” by Booker T and the MGs. And Peter Sellers is insane as Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau.
Of course all of this Bond . . . James Bond, talk eventually winds up with the ever-familiar question, who was the best Bond actor. Me, being the old dinosaur I am, always go with the classic . . . Sean Connery. My second would be Pierce Brosnan. My least favorite is Daniel Craig who makes Bond look like an uncouth less than intriguing gorilla.
I hope you enjoyed this brief musical interlude. This submission to the Virtual Symposium will self-destruct in 5 seconds. Good luck Jim.
Note: Edited/corrected per Lala’s golden eyesight.
For more international intrigue feel free to spy on the Symposium’s participants list Participants List For The Twelfth Virtual Symposium International Intrigue

I love how Cinnamon tastes , a bit spicy on the tongue, a touch of sweetness, and very tasty.
If you have seem some of my replies I have posted the recipe for an Arizona Apple which has Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey as one of its ingredients. It is: 2 shots Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey, 2 shots Apple Pucker, 1 shot cranberry juice, then, and this is really important . . . shaken WITH ice and served on ice.
Like I said – a bit spicy on the tongue, a touch of sweetness and very tasty.
Now I hear there is a new Cinnamon drink out called Gas Money Cinnamon Tequila. Has anyone tried it?

Are You Ready For Some Football?

One of My favorite sports to watch is NFL Football and it is THAT time of year.
A woman I met here asked – if I had to choose between watching a football game or sex which one would I do? I’m no fool – sex of course.
I played some in high school (safety), but I was slow and got injured early on. I enjoy watching football because the pace is just about right. Baseball and golf are too slow for me to watch. In football I like seeing how a play develops, or not, and how the other team reacts to it. The varying strategies, and varying abilities of the opposing players make it more interesting than other sports. And yes the hits. There used to be a segment on the ESPN Monday Night pregame show called “Jacked Up”. It showed some of the hardest hits of the weekend.
Since I’ve mentioned the speed of games I probably should mention this. Auto racing (specifically road racing and off road) is my other sport and driving was a huge thing for me – it IS an addiction. If an opportunity came along I would probably jump at it.
OK back to football. What part(s) of professional football do you like?
My team is the RAIDERS – “Just Win Baby!” The AZ Cardinals are becoming steadily better so they are good with me too. Who are your teams?
One of the first players I remember watching was Kenny “The Snake” Stabler, I loved his style of play and attitude. I also liked watching Brett Favre (4 was similar to Snake), Joe “Willie” Namath and Barry Sanders. Who are/were you favorite player(s)
I root against the Pats . . . why you ask? The “tuck play”, DeflateGate (you were caught cheating and didn’t man up), the Cowturds (mostly cause of Jerry the jerk), the Broncettes (but I am a fan of Peyton). Who do you root against?
If you had to choose between watching a football game or sex which one would you choose?

What Do You Think Are The Pros and Cons of The Twitty Place

OK social media types here is a question for all you peeps (geez I can’t eeeven believe I just typed peeps).
As you may know I am not much of a fan of “social media”, especially the ant-social, aspects . That said having a Twitt-ster account might be useful, I’m not sure how right now it is just a thought. I do not have or really care to have a cell phone (BTDT) so it would be something I use from my laptop.
Yes I know I am a dinosaur and Twitt-ski may mess with my dino-cred. No it’s not a techno thing.
So the main question is, as the title of this post says, what are the Pros and Cons of having a Twitto account?
Can I remain anonymous?
Is there a better similar option?

In a silly discussion on this posting ("Calling ALL African-American Bloggers To THIS Post!!") about being black or not I essentially asked if I could not get my “Black Card” if I said a line Woody Harrelson used in “Money Train”.
I wrote ”So if I say it loud and say it proud . . . do I get a card? “
The reply was ”Haha, I DARE you say it...in a post on your blog! You do that and I will give you a card. ”
Wellll a dare is a dare and this one is eeeasy to do so here it is folks.
Say it loud . . . I am Black and I am proud.

Straight Outta Canada

Well Canadians it looks like you have done it now. But to be honest I’m not sure what you have done. However, “Presidential” candidate Scott Walker says it's "legitimate" to discuss building a wall separating the US from Canada. In an interview straight outta NBC's "Meet the Press", Walker said his tough talk to securing the borders and enforcing U.S. laws extends to the 5,525-mile Canadian border.
I know for a fact that Canadian’s invade Arizona every year around January and stay for months. Many of them seem to prefer a little town, and its surrounding area, named Quartzite. They are very sneaky about it – instead of calling themselves an army, or invasion force they get called “Snowbirds”. Now that is devious, using the cute little birdy term to disguise their ulterior motive to spend their tourist money here in the US . They further disguise their invasion by coming here in recreational vehicles. YES you read that correctly RECREATIONAL VEHICLES ! ! ! My god what unscrupulous lows will they stoop to next?
Lucky for us we have a natural defense to fend off this invasion. It is kind of like the ending of ‘War of the Worlds’ where something in the atmosphere repels the invaders. Here in AZ it is oppressive heat . It works every year, they can’t stand it, but to be honest neither can we. So we now have something that should work much better to repel any invader – we call it politics.
WORD.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: As a gesture of good will and reconciliation I propose a contingent of female Canadian bloggers come to AZ for “Peace” talks. As part of the deal we will give you Alaska and you get to build the wall. We get to keep the pipeline, we seem to love pipes – don’t ask. That package also includes a well-known family that will keep an eye on Russia for you – this part of the deal is non-negotiable. This will “save” is a lot of dollars (the American kind). Do you have any idea how much a wall will cost? We sure don’t, but lucky for us Mexico is more than willing to chip in. Giving you Alaska “saves” us from building over 1500 miles of wall that can go to another little project we have been talking about.

Got the following message from a 28 yo girl this AM who is (according to Pazzion’s mile count) over 1600 miles away. I can’t tell what the pic is but in the far background is a single breast . . . I thought they came in pairs .
am a very nice looking girl i love to wine and dine cook for my man and always make him happy am not on here for games so am not looking for any games ,, am really looking for a very loving and caring man someone who will love me for me and take good care of me and am ready and willing to make him happy always and always satisfy him both sexually and domestically ....So tell me more about you and what you really looking for on here am ready and willing to serve. Thanks
From what I can tell she viewed me, flirted me and sent the message within 1 minute. That has to be some sort of record . Her status reads “I m honesty and mature woman.” She didn’t hotlist me – I’m soooo sad . Could this be some sort of full moon love thing?
I’m thinking my reply should be . . . Me love you good and plenty much.
Your suggestions on a snarky reply are welcome.
