Red River Revival

Fiddles pour raging torrents of harmonously sweet sounds, flooding the dance hall with music like a hurricane. The floor trembles in wakes as feet pound beats in unision in time together with clapping hands. The air smells of sweet grass, and tobacco, with hints of whiskey. Every wall has several rows of chairs to seat dance weary attendees. The hall is crowded with familiar faces, and strangers of neighboring communities. In between songs, the band nurses gradually aching joints. It's a lovely night for a dance.

Outside, the sky is bathed in ivory white moonlight, despite the brightness, stars flow overhead like a cosmic ocean of glistenning gems. A firepit is being stoked some distance from the hall by several seated star gazers. Smokers are standing near the entryway, sharing conversational gossip, and anecdotal recollections. There's a communal sense of peace as voices can be heard laughing in bursts by clustered groups. Raffle tickets are being sold for miscellanious prizes, folks buying the occasional handful in attempst to tip the scales in their favor.

Dancers are jigging in different styles, crowded yet not restricted, each adding their own touch to a similar dance. Cheers are shouted audible over the loud music, encouraging everyone to move like there's no tomorow. Moving through the small army of people, idle chatter is on the tongue of everyone. Some are getting beter acquinted while others are getting their fill of gossip.

...the sound came from Red River a long time ago, it will stay with me forever. Thank you for reading, it makes me happy.

 Just ignore him. He is extremely homophobic and thinks he's god's gift to women. I think he has some serious emotional issues he needs help with
