20-20 Vision We are in a crazy place nowadays, a very devided country. the first to say, maybe too much on which side I stand on. But beyond all this craziness I hold to one item that beats it all and I find myself on an island it seems. First let me agree it's wrong and although it has passed my lips I can't recall the last time and if it does again it will be a sad day for myself. Maybe you've figured it out by now but if not speaking of the (N) word. Again not that I support it use, quite the oppiset. But confused how that slang word hold so much more weight then others. We all seen where it ended careers from the worker bee to the CEO. I think it has become an unhealthy thing to our lives. In a perfect world none of those hateful words would be used but a realist and I don't see complete elimination happening in my lifetime. Though I'd add their reduction from when I was young and especially that one highlighted is nothing short of amazing. I can't help but feel that Lady Liberty would need to peek at which insult was made. That's exactly what's wrong with it. How and who can say which is more hateful and to whom, not me. I just recognize they're all wrong and I'll continue to do my best to not let any pass my lips. Hey there pretty lady ... Today's Blog really echoes something my sons I were just talking about. Being college students they are bombarded with the radical leftist agenda and find themselves stifling their conservative and libertarian beliefs - but not my oldest he truly despises 'new speak,' 'hate speak,' and the hypocrisy of our institutions of so called higher learning. He recalled how Orwell's '1984' hit the bestsellers list after the 2016 election with dire warnings of the impending 'Conservative Oppression;' and, how ironically it's the left (BLM, ANTIFA, CAIR, GLAD, the DNC, metoo & all the rest) who has become the oppressors. We are now living in a time where certain 'groups' are more equal than others ... where you are now punished for the words you speak - be they yesterday or a decade ago ... where religious beliefs are mocked unless it it happens to be a religion that is anti Judeo-Christian ... where our thoughts have become criminal ... where we now live in a tyranny of the minority. Of course anyone who is a true student of history will know that Orwell's warnings were not about the right ... but about the left and their false message of tolerance and equality.
