There IS a Nude Beach!

I've spent a considerable amount of time - to be read as - getting nada sleep - in order to devise a reasonable itinerary for an upcoming trek to Spain and Portugal. I thought about including other countries, but ultimately it's better to do some proper justice to two countries I've always wanted to see.

This is absolutely my dream trip. Taking advantage of 12 days. A friend has offered to housesit, so that concern is settled. Flying by private jet. Which saves a shit ton of lines, jet lag and time. The pieces are falling into place and it's just incredible.

Now to build an itinerary worthy of this limited time!

Day 1 - Barcelona - walking foodie tour - I have a lofty goal of six total stops in an afternoon between trying the coffee, markets, and tapas to a balloon's content. Six+ hours later the food coma and jet lag will likely lull me to sleep. But WAIT, we're setting the alarm for midnight, gotta work off the tortilla espanole by burning down the dancefloor.

Day 2 - Barceloneta Beach - this is my domain - lazy start with a short walking/biking tour, grab a bottle of wine and head to the beach. Soak up the sun. Wine coma nap.

Day 3 - AVE to Madrid - 3 hr train ride - another walking tour of tapas, sites, exploration.

Day 4 - Winery Tours - Abadia Retuerta, Ribera del Douro region is the plan. It's Monday Funday and it's probably going to be the best Monday ever.

Day 5 - AVE to Southern Spain!! Four nights in the South of Spain. I need some help with this part - I can take the train anywhere/anytime, so where to?

Marbella Beach - nude beach - is on the agenda. What else?

Day 9 - Fly to Lisbon - probably from Seville. Bid adieu to you, dear Spain. Here's to Portuguese wine and not encountering any language barriers. Three nights in Portugal.

I need some help here, too...what makes Lisbon so special? I want to see if this is a city I could live in someday. It's warm enough!

Day 12 - Don't miss your ride home - Drag paunch belly and drunk ass to the plane. Try not to weep.

Thought that's crossed my mind: am I going to have sex with someone that doesn't speak my language at all?! Si, no, pinche...that's a start. Of some sort.

 Not sure if you are the Aquarium type......but if you are it is home to the largest Aquarium in Europe. Sounds like your gonna have a great trip.

I think I read about this! And, btw, SingleItalianGuy -- I'm going to Italy!! Going to hike along the Cinque Terre. I'm more excited for this than anything else at this time.

 That is awesome.....I have never been there myself but I have heard wonderful and amazing things about this area of my homeland. I spend most of my time in Sicily when I go. Italy is full of wonderful people who are out going and willing to help where ever they can......just stay away from the home made wine.....lol.

The itinerary changed and I'm going to Italy!! Hiking the Cinque Terre. Very excited for this lil leg of the trip!
