I decided to give my blog a bit of a makeover today. I changed the name to Songs of the Trucker Babe and all of my posts are now named after song titles to fit the theme. I also added a pic and updated the blog description. I'm just hoping the description doesn't vanish on me.

Music has always been a passion of mine. I was a flute playing band geek when I was in high school. I did a variety of choir and chorus related activities as well. I still enjoy singing, but I don't think I sound very good anymore. Then again, I don't really try anyway.

Music has always been there for me when I've felt alone. It has helped me grieve during times of loss.

Music cheers me up when I feel depressed. A cheerful song with a good message can bring me out of a rut in no time flat!

Music inspires me. Hearing a great song at exactly the right time can do wonders for one's soul.

As a way to celebrate my 25th blog entry, I decided to include a few pics of me:

I can definitely understand that! Luckily, I never did that one solo.

For me, the worst part about my musical career in high school was being a flute player after the movie American Pie came out in '99.

I have no idea how many times I heard "This one time, at band camp..."

Sadly, I went to band camp.

And no, my flute did not go in there! lol

I did pretty well with it. A certain 4th of July song still makes me cringe when I hear it though. Especially since there was only two of us that were capable of even attempting that part. lol

I actually played the piccolo for marching band. I had a love/hate relationship with that silly little instrument.

 Music is therapy for the body, mind and soul. Always makes me smile.....love the new name of the blog. Now when ever I wanna get fired up.....nothing like closing the windows and cranking the volume all the way up and jamming out to a little RADAR LOVE.
