Hello?! Who's There?!?!

Hello?! Who's There?!?!
So, sitting in my living room today and heard this noise outside my door. Sounded like an animal clawing the bottom or something. I kept saying, "Hello?! 's There?!?! ... lol ... over and over ... nothing . Looking the peephole, I didn't see anything, yet, the noise persisted ...

My hallway is like a fucking hotbox - must have been 110 there today! I went from my car to my apt and was dying in like the 5 minutes took to get to the elevator and locked in ... seemed like 5 hours ...

Meanwhile, back at the ranch ...

I kept the chain on, but opened the door. To the left was petite little thing running a vaccum by the bottom of my door. She was not 90 pounds soaking wet, if that. So, I went to make sure everything was okies, since she was there for a bit ...

The reason she wasn't answering was her English was limited - found that when I started to engage her in conversation. It was obvious the temperature of the hallway was taking it's toll on her. Inviting her in to get some AC for a few and some water, with like gestures and just a few words. She gratefully accepted - put her mask on - came in. Gave her a glass of water, asked if she needed to use the bathroom, again, gesturing and few words. She gratefully accepted and said thank you. While she was in there, I filled her another glass of water ... was pissed at myself as I didn't have a bottle of water to give her ... GGGRRR ... after she came , I handed her the glass. Just like the first time, she was very gracious, couldn't show me enuf how much she appreciated it ...

I know what it's like to work in the heat - takes me bout 90 minutes just to water the forest at work! And, then whatever else I've got to take care of outside ...

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, again ...

Got a good deed in today = an act of kindness! Brought a smile to a stranger ... of course ... that totally made me smile! The best thingy bout it : totally unexpected ... it just was ...

*Note To Self* - get some bottled water!!

 What a lovely thing to do McTrixster, why does it not surprise me that kindness would come so easily to you?

So easy to be kind, it's free, yet so rewarding!

 What a wonderful good deed you did my friend, its so important that we do them every day if the opportunity presents itself. I am glad you let her come in and cool down as the weather has been quite hot.

I hope you have a wonderfully Happy Hump Day..
Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

Aaawww, my kilted friend, thank you ever so much! When we do good things, it does come back to us. Maybe not in a few weeks, or, even a few months ... tho, the Great Spirit watches. The rewards of the Universe aren't generally "instant gratification", and, doing something nice one time isn't their idea of effort. We should always keep in mind the saying "pay it forward" ... the Cosmos knows whether or not we do. The payout can be major good stuff!!

 You know ... COVID-19 or not, race, gender, sexuality, social status, religious preference, political views, etc ... . (going with the theory that no harm has been or is being done) ... we all BLEED RED. I do my part that best that I can ...

Thank you, my friend! You know ... LOL ... it doesn't matter how small of an act it may be, it still totally counts in the grand scheme of others and yourself! Been storming here again - humidity is back up - UGH! Have a stellar day!
