Dude my lil cat buddy – update plus . . .
Dude my lil cat buddy – update plus . . . Vet called today with blood test results. It shows increased calcium level, which could be an indication of cancer. Since his breathing was “a bit rough” it could be there. Next step is x-rays to see further. So I am not happy. I’m going to talk to the ex, Cathie, who I was with in 2009 when Dude limped into our lives. We knew he tested positive for feline HIV or leukemia then but we were told it could be that he had been vaccinated – long story. Cathie and I are friends so I will see what she thinks/feels. To add to that . . . my most recent ex (2013), MG, called from out of the blue. Her fiancé split (actually her 2nd fiancé split in 1 year) and she called me. She knows I would drop pretty much everything to fix what we had (much more than just a sex thing) – another long story. That is pretty much the reason why I ended up here. Whether she will see/listen/hear or whatever is way up in the air. So I am in a pretty shitty / confused place right now. As I read this it makes me seem like an f’n drama queen, which I am not. Again, I am asking everyone to please pray, or whatever you do, for my lil buddy. Thank you When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. |

Wow that is a lot to deal with all at once. Don't make any major decisions. Take it one day at a time. You've got friends here who will listen to you anytime. I hope things improve soon. I am not getting anymore pets. We have a sick dog, a very long story. Oh course my daughter brought him into our lives and then she left for the UK and stuck us with him and vet bills. He has doggie MRSA, MRSI, no cure and hopefully doesn't ever mutate into MRSA, cause then, were screwed. Right now he isn't contagious or a danger to us or other animals. There is no cure for it either. We just keep him comfortable and the meds are killing him as much as the infection. He was part of a Merck study at UPenn last summer.
