Sorry, Family Matters

Just checking in I haven't been around a couple of days and wanted to touch base.
Mom went into the hospital again and she isn't doing very well. It seems like every time I go see her she is worse than before.
They did the aquapheresis again and to do that they have to give her heparin, a blood thinner. The Heparin caused an abdominal bleed and they took her off of it but yesterday they gave her 2 units of blood and some platelets thinking that would help. It did for a little while but she is still bleeding somewhere.
Right before I got there tonight they put her on a ventilator because her CO2 went nuts and jumped up to over 70%. I warned them to look for that and they saw the signs, just not fast enough.
She has developed palsy since I saw her yesterday and is twitching really bad. Her face and arms especially. She just looks bad.
The plan right now is to get her CO2 under control then figure out what is bleeding and if they can fix it. She isn't a good candidate for surgery and at this point they are not considering it.
I just don't like the look of her. Usually I am not scared but I have to admit this time I am a little worried. The last time we put her on a ventilator it took us over 6 months to get her off of it.
My Uncle, a career RN, seems to think that the palsy is due to the drugs they have her on and I really hope that is it but the thing that really has me concerned is the ventilator. That scares the crap out of me. When we got her off of it before she was much healthier but if they have to leave her on it for an extended period of time I'm afraid we will never get her off of it.

So I’m sorry guys but I just don’t have time to answer my mail right now ~ or much of anything else.

 Purl so sorry to hear about your mom I pray she is in good hands and not much pain. Also I am sorry I offended you I'm really not that way will keep you and your family in my prayers.

I'm sorry to her about what you are dealing with. I lost my mom to cancer almost 5 yrs ago, so I understand what u r goin through in watching your mom fight for her life. anyway...my thoughts to you and your family....and i truly hope ur mom pulls through...feel free to reach out if u need to talk...best wishes
