Practice The Pause Simple advice that can have a meaningful impact on thoughts, words and actions if you follow it. Do you stop and pause or react and deal with the consequences? |

I am able to do this more readily now than when I was younger. Perhaps it's maturity and having a different perspective now through life experiences.

Concur. Things are rarely what they seem, in the moment, to be. A pause to process and reflect often improves both their appearance and your attitude.

I always pause and almost always realize it wasn't important.

I try to pause and cool off before I say something. I have had to practice that this week and it seems to have helped in the situation that had me angry with someone I do not even know who was working for a neighbor. By cooling off and calling the neighbor, I think the issue will be resolved to the neighbor's and my mutual satisfaction.

Do you stop and pause or react and deal with the consequences? As with many circumstances it depends on the situation. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

This is some very good advice . I tend to react and have indeed faced many a consequence in past years. I have had to teach myself to take the pause , I do agree it gets easier with age as we gain life experience . I slip once in a while but life is much calmer than past years

Pause... moi? I should and sometimes I do. Other moments have me slinging from the hip and dealing with the consequences. Life is too short for regrets and keeping things in. Besides... it causes gas if ya force stuff in. Pausing now for me is a lot easier than it used to be in my younger years. We must always think before reacting as it's so important. Thanks for sharing this great reminder about Practicing Pausing my friend. I hope you enjoy a wonderful Thursday..
