Uh-Ohhh ... I'm on the Soap Box and Fired-Up Again ... ... Below is a post to a Blog that I frequent. I guess I'm getting old and crotchety - as I felt compelled to rant again ... ... Name of Blog withheld to protect the Innocent - Yes I used to love re-runs of 'Dragnet' ... ******************************************************************* I commend you for your position regarding the 'Right to Blog.' It's very disgusting that events like you described occur - Not only here; but, on a number of different sites. You would think that this site being geared to adults - F'ng 'Adult' is in the damn name - that childish, 'High School' like behavior wouldn't exist. This is an unfortunate 'side effect' of the anonymity enjoyed on the Internet. I have been using the 'Net since the early days ... way back when you still had to dial-up, know how to manage a TCP/IP connection, before anyone ever heard 'You've Got Mail,' and 'Netscape' was all the rage as an InterNet Browser !.! For some odd reason people with destructive, anti-social, cruel, and downright sociopathic behavior seem to bubble to the top of the pile in this type of environment and spread their screed. They appoint themselves as modern-day prophets and pontificate as if any of us gave a shit about what they have to say ... and when we don't listen or echo their self-congratulating praises they turn on us and attempt to burn our house - Hell, not just out house - but our entire neighborhood to the ground in underhanded, vicious, and extremely ruthless ways. Most of these troglodytes, not only greatly over estimate their intelligence, but would never have the nerve to utter a fraction of the vile, racist, self-serving and abusive comments to the face of another human being. I've seen this behavior gain a foothold and thrive exponentially as more an more people make the InterNet a part of their daily lives. I often wonder if this lack of civility is a side effect of the rise of social media. I've also noticed that Sites are now not only limiting comments (Or delaying when a comment posts until it has been reviewed by the Sites' Staff); but, in a number of cases removing the ability to comment at all. It's important to note that the evolution of this phenomena has dramatically risen since the main streaming of the cellular phone and instant connectivity of everything. When did a person (other than a Trauma Surgeon or the Commander in Chief) become so damn important that they be connected to everything, everywhere, every minute if the day. No one, with a few exceptions, is so important that the answering machine can't take the call. Do we really need to talk on the phone while driving - or worse text while driving ? Come on folks - How much business really gets done while you are commuting ? Does everything have to be done 'Right the F Now' ? Is it worth risk to your life and the lives of the other motorists screaming down the six-lane ? Frankly - We've all turned into a bunch of Narcissistic Sociopaths. To make matters worse - This attitude is now beginning to creep into the real world. It's also important to note that critical thinking skills and skeptical analysis seems to be missing from a generation of people who have either come of age during the era of social media or are so immersed in the 'InterNet Culture' that reality and common sense seem to have evaporated. I realize I may have been born a 100 years or so too late - but, I don't think I'm wrong or so out of touch to believe we have all lost touch with a significant portion of our humanity when we communicate using electrons and a series of 0's and 1's through soulless machines - rather than interacting person to person. OK - With all that said there is one bright spot to this thread ... the photo you posted is amazing and damn sexxxy !.!.! In some rooms, there seems to be a small 'ruling' group of people. The Alpha females and Alpha males, so to speak. When someone new comes into the room (let's say a female) and is popular with one of the non-alphas males, I have seen the Alpha female interject herself into the conversation and even tempt the non-alpha male to cyber in the room, just to show she is the Alpha female, and the newcomer needs to know her place. Of course, the non-alpha male doesn't have to play along with the Alpha females intrusion but hey, this is a sex site. What guy is going to turn down having hot cyber sex in a room with the Alpha female. What an honor! As soon as the break in the new relationship is successful, the Alpha female goes back to ignoring the non-alpha male and the new female knows her place. This doesn't happen very often and usually leads to the eventual break-up of the room because eventually, their is a revolt by all the non-alphas. The room goes quiet for awhile until a whole new group of ppl start coming in to the room and it starts all over again. In the local group rooms, there's not usually any cybersex involved...it's more of the small clique just ignoring a newcomer...sometimes it takes half a dozen tries to get your foot in the door of a room with such a clique. And even once you are in, you have to watch what you say for awhile so you don't irritate the main people. Or be yourself, get accepted because you are bold like that, or be yourself, get ignored and you leave to find real friends to chat with.
