Cam/IM question

I like many others it would seem have trouble with IM operating consistently. This seems particularly true when I try to use my cam with it.

I wonder if this is in part because I'm a standard member. Though I've had trouble when I'm a gold member too. I think it is a new limitation but I don't seem to be able to post comments in the chat associated with a member's public broadcast. Just a few day ago I could.

I also wonder if the chat that opens when I broadcast my cam lets me see others posts. It may just be that no one is watching or posting, I'm a lone male after all. But at one point last night the header information said two members were watching my cam but no member names populated the list.

I'm leery of suggesting Skype to those who want to cam. I have family and business Skype accounts on my laptop. I don't want those to become confused with a "private" Skype account should I set one up.

I used to use Yahoo IM, but the newest version of that sucks. Does anyone use Quick Visio for private camming? Are there other options? Horny, I mean, inquiring minds want to know.
