Then as sometimes seems to happen with me (ref Walking Dead) I suddenly turned on it . Literally minutes before the season six premiere my excitement inexplicably shifted on a dime to mild dislike . It was like a switch at been flipped in my brain . It was very odd . I didn't watch any of the sixth season . We all know that over a long enough timeline my enjoyment of anything turns to bitter hatred but it usually doesn't SNAP like that . They've been having a marathon of the entire series so far and I've been watching bits and pieces here and there and I have two SHOCKING revelations that NO ONE has ever noticed before . 1 - It's a pretty good show 2 - Some of the early episodes were a mess Looking back on it now it's mildly surprising that the show caught on the way it did because the first couple of episodes were pretty weak . I feel like without the shock value of Jamie chucking stupid Bran out the window at the very end they may not have pulled in so many people . That one moment may have saved the whole show . In the commentaries (yes I've listed to all the commentaries too) they talk about how the dialog in the first few episodes is really silted and wonky because there's so much background they're trying to shove in there to get people up to speed . I hadn't read the books at that point so I didn't even realized Cersai and Jaime were siblings - I thought it was just garden variety infidelity/queen fucking . There is one other less important thing I noticed - all the episodes written by GRR Martin have TONS of nudity in them . Maybe that dude is a perv . I read some clickbait today about how most people don't feel comfortable being around the opposite sex - this came up because of something Pence said apparently - and I was going to talk about it here but reading back over the article it's just depressing . It's weird to think of myself as a Pollyanna but in some ways I am because I never seem to think gender relations are nearly as bad as they are . Not even close . Maybe that's why so many women in my workplace like to talk to me - maybe I'm the only one who will . That would explain a lot because if they had ANY other choice they'd take it . Blogs recounting dreams are the worst . I had a dream the other night that I went to visit a for the first time on my 40th birthday . And the sex worker asked me if it was a special occasion because apparently my brain thinks that hookers act like servers at TGI Friday's . Which they sort of do I suppose . Anyway I dream said to her that it was my 40th birthday and I don't have sex much anymore and there's not much reason to think I will much in the future either so I just wanted to treat myself a little bit . So we do "it" and then she says "so you want to set up a weekly appointment" because my brain must also think that hookers act like massage therapists , which they do in a way I guess . And I says to her I says "Nah , it's not worth it ." And she got super pissed and cut me with her switchblade . Now this was a dream but it highlights something that happens to me all the time . Because I was in no way criticizing her work - just the thing she was offering wasn't something I cared about enough to want regularly . This comes up a lot in my life and it's frustrating - I'll tell someone that whatever isn't my bag and they take it personally even though it has nothing to with them . "40 you just need to explain yourself better" Ha ! No , trying to explain just makes then more angry . But I've accepted that .  My back has been really stiff lately . I keep thinking I need to get back to regular massages but as much as I love them it's such a "waste" of money . I just need to do more yoga . The problem with that is the yoga that really stretched my back out isn't really a work out so then I have to also work out and it's a whole thing . And finally , it's kind of weird that asshole has become such a ubiquitous insult - because men at least love them . They love them so much they want to ram their erect penises into them . It's one of the things that gay and straight men are on the same page with . Women must have started that . Which kind of makes sense because if you're the one getting rammed it's logical you might have a bad association you know ? Hmmm, I wonder what that dream could mean.  I read the books up through to the last one that had been published a few years ago but have not got back to see if anymore have been released in a couple years. I have never seen any of the shows. I did enjoy the books though. Vive La Difference

Did you mean it was the first time you visited a prostitute and it was on your 40th birthday or you visit prostitutes regularly but this was just the first visit of many on your 40th birthday?
